Karen Horne has been invited to share a group of her recent paintings in an exhibit accompanied by a luncheon / talk at the Town Club SLC. This private women’s club for members has been “empowering and connecting women since 1930.” The club is housed in an historic mansion on South Temple.

The Town Club’s mission, as stated on its website, is:

“to develop and foster charitable, civic, educational, recreational and social activities among the members.”

The exhibition, which continues through March 1, 2025, features examples from two of the artist’s series. It includes recent cityscape paintings, including scenes of the Eccles and Capitol Theatre, and Mrs. Backer’s Pastry Shop. It also includes artworks from the Art of Dance® series, backstage compositions bathed in stagelight, with dancers from the Ballet West Academy .

The artist is thrilled to share her work with this exceptional group of women, who have a dedicated art committee, as well as an historic club collection. They are deeply cultured and interested in Utah women artists. She presented an informal talk about her background and inspirations at a lunch on February 5th, and was pleased by the welcoming response.
