The Editor of Fine Art Connoisseur has selected one of Karen Horne’s artworks to be featured in its upcoming MAY/JUNE 2021 issue. This premier art magazine considered paintings from artists all over the country for its forthcoming photo essay on artwork of Couples. Horne was honored to have her dramatic pastel painting “Tango Fire” make the final cut and be shared with this discriminating audience! The artwork was inspired by couple in a close embrance in a live tango milonga. Horne used backlighting to put a spotlight on their footwork, and hot colors to emphasize the sizzle of the dance.
