AAUW UTAH WOMEN ARTISTS EXHIBITION

posted in: Exhibits/Events | 0

Karen Horne is thrilled to have her pastel painting “Pink Tutu” juried into this biennial exhibition. It was selected by a noted art collector/cultural advocate from over 400 entries from Utah artists from all over the state. Works are in a variety of mediums and by artists from professional standing to gifted students.

Founded in 1881, The American Association of University Women is the nation’s leading voice for gender equity for women and girls.

“Pink Tutu” was inspired by the rapt attention and innocence of a little girl. The work is pastel on panel, 33×26 w frame and True Vue glass. Available for $2,200.

The 40 year old tradition began in a traveling Van, and there have been 20 subsequent shows. They are a local expression of the national mission.
